While excessive sweating strikes men and women with a equal prevalence, women are more likely to look for a treatment for their condition. More than 500 individuals with focal hyperhidrosis were screened and about two thirds (67%) of those seeking help were women. Men were most likely to seek help for facial sweating while women were most concerned about underarm sweating. |
